Reuse & Recycle: Magazines

I have been collecting fashion magazines since 2016. I love fashion magazines, especially international and independent ones. It is so fun (and relaxing) to flip through the pages and be inspired by all the dreamy editorials.

When I started collecting, there was so much good inspiration that I knew I couldn’t throw out. So, I decided to start cutting out pages and saving them in journals to reference.

Later on, my loose cutouts turned into a frequent creative hobby of mine. I started making more artistic collages with specific themes (see example below) that could live as inspiration or be used as artwork in my home.

I have also started using my love for collaging as a way to make special gifts for my friends & family.

If you’re a fellow magazine lover looking for ways to give them new life, I highly recommend trying collage and handmade cards. It’s a peaceful & creative way to unwind while turning old pages into something completely new. All you need is:

  • Magazines

  • Double Side Tape or Glue Stick

  • Paper (I love buying a nice sketch book that I can keep adding to)

  • Scissors

  • Blank greeting cards & envelopes
